The Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast is consistently rated the
#1 B&B/Inn
in Salem, Massachusetts by TripAdvisor.
This charming Georgian Federal,
circa 1808, is owned and operated
by Bob Shea, a native of Salem. Graced with
New England elegance,
the comfortable guestrooms, each with its own private bathroom,
provide a refuge for guests to unwind.
360° Tour of Dining Room
The inn has an informal, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and is located on a
very quiet dead end street directly across from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s
Historic House of the Seven Gables. Morning Glory is also just a stone's
throw from beautiful Salem Harbor, the new Salem/Boston ferry,
and the Pickering Wharf shopping district. Salem’s Walking Heritage
Trail, trolley stop and America’s oldest candy company are located just
outside the front door.
As seen in the Boston Sunday Globe, July 2008
“Salem
Inn close to all, but why budge. We found the Morning Glory's lovely
roof deck, with its reclining chairs, harbor view, ocean breeze, and
hanging flowers, as much a draw as the historical sites... An afternoon
on that deck with a book and sunscreen is a perfect antidote to an
overly busy week at work. Shea and his partner, Marcel Dufour, are
warm, welcoming, and attentive...after more than a decade in the
business, Shea seems to have mastered innkeeping in every way."
