The Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast is consistently rated the #1 B&B/Inn in Salem, Massachusetts by TripAdvisor. This charming Georgian Federal, circa 1808, is owned and operated by Bob Shea, a native of Salem. Graced with New England elegance, the comfortable guestrooms, each with its own private bathroom, provide a refuge for guests to unwind. The inn has an informal, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and is located on a very quiet dead end street directly across from the historic House of the Seven Gables. Morning Glory is also just a stone's throw from beautiful Salem Harbor, the new Salem/Boston ferry, and the Pickering Wharf shopping district. Salem’s Walking Heritage Trail, trolley stop and America’s oldest candy company are located just outside the front door. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Guests can gather around the country breakfast table to enjoy each other’s company, as well as a delectable selection of homemade baked goods, such as cinnamon nut and raspberry swirl coffee cake, lemon bread, blueberry muffins, banana bread, cranberry scones with lemon glaze, pumpkin bread and Irish bread...all home-baked by Bob’s mom. A fresh fruit cup and yogurt are also served in addition to cereals, an assortment of herbal teas and freshly brewed coffee ground daily. Please note that the city of Salem has granted Morning Glory a license to serve continental breakfast only. This basically means that we can serve a variety of baked goods, cereals, fruit and yogurt, but cannot serve eggs.
